Dr. Peter Hanna is a board-certified podiatric physician and foot and ankle surgeon with extensive expertise in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb preservation, wound care, trauma, and lower extremity reconstruction. He is dedicated to advancing patient care through innovative surgical techniques and clinical research while training the next generation of foot and ankle specialists. 

Dr. Hanna earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine after completing undergraduate studies in Biology and Medical Laboratory Sciences at Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He completed a comprehensive three-year surgical residency in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery at Jackson South Medical Center, where he received advanced training in complex foot and ankle reconstruction, orthopedic trauma, and limb salvage. He also holds specialized certifications in total ankle replacement systems, ankle fusion techniques, and advanced reconstructive procedures. 

Currently, Dr. Hanna serves as Director of Foot and Ankle Surgery at South Florida Multi-Specialty Medical Group and practices as a podiatric surgeon at South Florida Foot and Ankle Institute. In addition to his clinical practice, he is actively involved in physician education as Assistant Director of the Larkin Community Hospital Podiatry Residency Program and serves on the teaching faculty for multiple podiatry residency programs, including Jackson South Medical Center, North Shore Medical Center, and Westchester General Hospital. 

Dr. Hanna has extensive experience in clinical research, serving as both Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator on numerous multicenter clinical trials involving diabetic foot ulcers, chronic wounds, venous leg ulcers, peripheral neuropathy, critical limb ischemia, diabetes, and innovative wound care technologies. His research background, combined with his surgical expertise, provides sponsors with a highly experienced investigator capable of managing complex lower extremity and metabolic disease studies. 

An accomplished educator and nationally recognized speaker, Dr. Hanna has delivered lectures on foot and ankle trauma, reconstructive surgery, vascular disease, and limb preservation at regional and national conferences. His dedication to excellence has earned him numerous professional honors, including Physician of the Year, Student of the Year, Leadership Awards, and recognition for his research and service to the podiatric profession.
